As we compare the two parallel prophecies, JOHN 3:16 reveals that the PURPOSE of the FIRST COMING OF CHRIST was for Him to fulfil the task of the sacrifical LAMB OF GODS GRACE & MERCY, while the purpose of His SECOND COMING is to execute the task of the avenging LION OF GODS WRATH & ANGRY JUDGEMENTS!! The parallels are astounding to say the least!
